What an awesome week of Vacation Bible School. 75 adult and 26 teen volunteer workers helped a record number of children learn about God. One night they learned that God is everywhere and then the next night they discovered that God is strong. Tuesday they found out that God is awesome while on Wednesday the saw how God is in charge.
Many gallons of kool-aide, lemonade, tea and fruit punch kept all of us refreshed while games were played each night with help from Party Central from Lexington and others from Mt. Zion. To see everyone come out each night after spending a day at their places of employment and then give an extra 3-4 hours bringing happiness to every child proves what an amazing group of people God has drawn together. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you!!!
This Saturday around noon, a group from The Salvage Yard Christian Church will arrive at MZCC and set up tents. They have invited our teens and adults to come out and maybe play a game of football or basketball or sumpin. These teens from Indiana will be attending the concert which is being sponsored by the 1st United Methodist Church and will be at George Rogers Clark High School Auditorium Saturday night. There are some pretty awesome groups performing and tickets may be purchased at the door…at least I think they can.
The Salvage Yard Christian Church will bring music and message Sunday Morning at MZCC. Come out Saturday around noon and get to know them...maybe even go to the concert with them. Let’s do our Mt. Zion best to encourage this group of teens.
