Sunday School...what a novel idea about growing in
our faith.
It is really, really, really good to be back in the USA! J.D. Miller
and I are back and ready to dig in at MZCC once again. This coming
Sunday we begin our new Sunday School Class. We will meet in the room
which is located closest to the picture of the 10 commandments. This
is the last door on the left side of the hallway as you travel towards
the sanctuary from the gymnasium on the big parking lot side of the
church....if any of that makes sense. Just listen for the laughter and
you might be close.
I believe we all need to be involved in a Sunday School Class and the
sooner the better. Mt. Zion currently has adult classes being taught
by Judy Blackwell, Jim Lane, Ken McDaniel and now by J.D. Miller with
me being the MC...you know, MASTER OF CLARITY. Ha! Ha!
I will be in the classroom at 9AM and I hope to see everyone who is
not already involved in a class. Let’s explode with continued growth.
This Sunday, J.D. will lead us in a different way of worship.
Different only in the way we are not accustomed. I witnessed J.D. at
the piano leading worship while in Myrtle beach and knew it would be a
great thing to do once in a while at Mt. Zion. You will want to get to
church early so as to participate and enjoy this time of praise and
worship to God.
Jerry Trammell is scheduled to bring special music and I plan to bring
a message from the Old Testament which should elaborate on the
construction of Solomon’s Temple. King David desired to build a house
of worship but God would not let him. Come this Sunday and learn why
and why the temple was constructed the way it was and where it was.
This should be a sermon which also explains why the United States of
America came into being. I hope we have enough time...but if not, I
will be available for a private sermon...if you would provide supper.
Ha! Ha!
Above all else, tell a friend about the love of God and how they can
experience it for themselves. God willing, I hope to see you Sunday,
For the cause of Christ,
Kenny
