Well it is Friday night and I have finally stopped
to breathe long enough to compile this week’s issue of our web page. I
am sitting at my computer and I have just finished our outline for
this Sunday’s message. We are beginning a new series this Sunday
titled "Christmas Characters." Each week we will look at a different
Christmas character which has woven its way into our lives. Each one
of these will be derived from the tales we hear on television and the
ones we sing about...such as "Ebenezer Scrooge," "The Grinch,"
"Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman."
I hope you do not forget to invite your family and friends to our
Christmas play on December 9th at 7 pm. It will be an awesome time to
enjoy a story which takes on the story of "How the Grinch Stole
Christmas" and goes further with "How Christmas Saved the Grinch."
Mike Mitcham and others are sure to bring a smile to everyone’s heart.
Thanks go out to so many that I cannot begin to name them all but I do
want to mention the construction team of Dennis Belcher, Mark and
Julie Baumgardner, Sharon Blackburn, Ken and Cindy McDaniel, Mike
Mitcham, Nancy & Tommy Gray and so many others that I am already in
trouble because I cannot remember everyone who has been there so many
nights to help. I will try and continue mentioning names over the next
few weeks.
Also..........Do not forget to invite you family and friends to a
special night of communion and worship as we gather in the sanctuary
for 30 minutes of a wonderful time on Christmas Eve. This will be from
6:30 until 7pm and I know you are going to enjoy this years time of
setting aside a moment before the hustle and bustle of opening gifts
and fellowshipping with each other. Please mark your calendars for
this special time.
See you Sunday and if you think about it....check out the new Sunday
School class close to the 10 commandments picture in the hallway.
For the cause of Christ,
Bro. Kenny
