I have heard awesome things about last Sunday’s service with Artie and
Dora Carnes. From their song "God Bless The U.S.A." as well as
Arties Sermon, to the praise teams leading in worship AND the praise
band just "JAMMING" at the end of worship. I have spoken with J.D.
and he says that the praise band might start "Jamming" a few minutes
before worship each week. I cannot wait, even though I was not at
Mt. Zion this past Sunday, I was in China when they did the same
thing and I know how great that can be. Why not try coming early and
hearing these pro’s warming up...you’ll be sooooo glad you did.
This past Weekend I helped out with a Revival service in Cynthiana
at the UNITY CHRISTIAN CHURCH. The people there are great and the
time I experienced while there was wonderful: Great singing,
fellowship, laughter and communion.
I enjoy being with these fine people from time to time for this was
one of the few churches who welcomed me on many occasions when I was
first starting out as a singer. My father-in-law would preach and on
one night, I would come and perform for 30 minutes before the
service. Each time they would have desert after the service. What a
Church!!!!
This Sunday I will be back at Mt. Zion and I plan to preach from 2nd
Corinthians 8:1-15 on the subject "Committed & Sacrificing: The
Motivation for Giving." Come expecting a blessing and I assure you
as always...You will find what you are looking for.
J.D. will be in Revival this coming Sunday in Pikeville and will
return next Sunday. While he is away, I am excited to say that Bob
Jarrett has agreed to play this coming Sunday. Let’s give him a
great big Mt. Zion welcome. Bob is considering helping Artie Carnes
with some building projects in Freedom, Indiana after hearing him
speak last Sunday. Maybe some others within Mt. Zion might be
interested as well. You will be the one to receive the greatest
blessing by volunteering for such an endeavor.
Until Sunday...For The Cause of Christ,
Kenny
