New Sermon Series coming to Mt. Zion
Week #1 & #2 will be...
"No Way Noah."

Glad to be back from Oklahoma where J.D. & I attended and participated in a Men’s conference. We were able to hear many great singing groups as J.D. played for most of them. We were also able to listen to fine speakers, especially one who is scheduled to speak at Mt. Zion the last Sunday in June. Dr. Cecil Todd has preached for many years across America and is currently touring this great country promoting a "Yellow Ribbon Rally" presenting Christ as the only hope and promoting the distribution of Bibles for American soldiers which have been endorsed and approved for delivery by the United States Government. Dr. Todd reported over 200,000 Bibles have already been shipped and presented. Begin to invite as many friends as you are able for this June meeting. You will not want to miss this informed and energetic spokesman for God.

It was sooooo awesome seeing Haven McKenny come forward requesting to be baptized into Christ. I know there are still some within our congregation each week who want desperately to take the plunge but some kind of lying spirit is causing a distraction or a desire to refrain from doing what God asks. It is my hope, as we each read this article, we will prayerfully consider what God is asking us to do and...follow through.

This coming Sunday we begin a series highlighting people of the Bible. We will begin with a man named Noah. Our title for the upcoming two weeks will be "No Way Noah." Come out and see how we are not very different from Noah, and could, at any moment, be called to perform great feats for God...especially when it seems impossible. This will be presented in drama form and is intended to involve people from within MZCC’s congregants. Julie Baumgardner, along with her husband Mark is painting a picture of the Ark for us to use for this special sermon and we wish to send them a very big "Thank You" for all they are doing and have done over the past years.
