Hello Church, it’s me...back at the computer once again. Please
accept my apologies for not having a web page last week but J.D. and
I had to leave Sunday afternoon to board a plane bound for Memphis,
Tennessee and then on to Fort Smith Arkansas. We then rented a car
and drove two hours to a community in Oklahoma where we ministered
with a group for a week long "Family Camp" To say we didn’t have any
cell service would definitely be an understatement. This place is so
for back in the woods that it is even believed that Bigfoot got
himself lost up there somewhere.
While there we ministered each morning and every night. We also
squeezed in some time to work on an "A Frame" house which is
probably an exaggeration in terms but none the less we worked every
day trying to remodel a place for people to stay while attending
these conferences each year at "Christ’s 40 Acres." We are scheduled
to return in September for a "Round Robin" time of Revival. Seven
preachers are supposed to preach to a different congregation each
night. While there, J.D. and I hope to complete the task of
remodeling. If anyone might be interested in joining us in this
endeavor, we would GLADLY welcome their help. HINT, HINT.
Our plane landed back in Lexington around 5:30 pm Friday and
now...now it is now past midnight as I have just returned to my room
in Illinois after speaking twice today. I have met many wonderful
people in the town of Bridgeport and whatever town it is I am in.
The Pleasant Ridge Christian Church has a parsonage and a one
bedroom - one bathroom apartment. It is a small church and yet they
possess a great vision. They have purchased an old school and plan
to relocate when their renovation is complete.
I am supposed to speak Monday night to a group of men which make up
an organization called "Kingdom Builders." They are much like the
Bluegrass Christian Men’s Association which exists to plant new
churches. A few men from Illinois who attended the Kiamichi Clinic,
which J.D. and I participated in this past May wanted me to come and
speak to their men and that is the main reason I am here this
weekend. I hope to return home Tuesday afternoon.
I have spoken with many who attended Mt. Zion’s Sunday Morning
worship service and each commented on what an awesome sermon J.D.
Miller delivered. I appreciate J.D. & Cheryl’s ministry at Mt. Zion
and I believe we all are truly discovering what a great decision it
was to ask him to come on staff. And besides...J.D. makes such a
believable nerd for VBS and I can’t wait to see him come to life
once again next year as his true self shines forth.
JUST JOKING J.D.- HEE HEE HA HA!
I want to thank each one who is busy inviting friends and family to
attend our worship services. The best way to have our acquaintances
and relatives realize Jesus died for them and wants them to live for
him, is to invite them to participate in the worship that takes
place weekly at Mt. Zion. There is definitely a Revival going on at
Mt. Zion and we need to tell the world. Start at home...Tell your
neighbors and family. You will love the change they come to
experience and so will they. It is truly and totally life changing.
DON'T FORGET THE FISH FRY THIS FRIDAY. YOU MIGHT EVEN
GET TO HEAR SOME GREAT MUSIC.
INVITE YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, CO-WORKERS...EVEN PEOPLE YOU DON’T EVEN
LIKE. BEING SAVED MAKES PEOPLE EASIER TO LIKE.
This Sunday I plan to preach a sermon based on the statement I have made
many times how Doctors have facts based on years of experience and
Jesus...Jesus has the truth. You will not want to miss this Sunday’s
sermon with a twist you could not expect.
See you Friday & Sunday
For the Cause of Christ,
Your Preaching Minister,
Kenny
