From the Preaching Minister

Starting this Sunday, I plan to bring a series of
sermons from the book of Daniel. We should begin with
chapters one and two so please study this book and these
chapters. You will be happy that you are already a step or
two ahead. This is a prophetic book which has been thought
to have been written after the fact but we will see that is
not the case.
How wonderful to see Leslie and Jimmy Muzic this past Sunday
requesting prayer. Jimmy might just give his testimony
sometime soon but until then I want everyone to pray for
this fine young couple. They have many challenges but are
depending on God more now than ever and isn’t that just
where God wants us to be...casting all of our cares upon
Him.
It was also an awesome site to see Jim Maxim come forward
confessing his sins, wanting to make Jesus Christ, Savior of
his Soul, with verbal profession and water baptism. Jim,
like many of us, has endured a tough time realizing how God
could save him from his sins but knew he needed to come
forth. Jim’s wife Connie was not present as she was
attending another church to witness someone else’s
baptism...And Jim knew how important this should be for his
wife to be here when he chose to accept Christ but Jim chose
to be Biblical and be baptized the very hour he verbally
expressed the desire to accept the free gift of salvation. I
am so proud of Jim for following through. Salvation is more
important to obtain AND OBTAIN NOW than
anything else we could do...More Noble, More Beautiful and
More Excellent. Praise God!!! |

| Another one of our Mt. Zionites is Bruce Manley who is
not only a singer on the praise team but is also a gifted
teacher and communicator. He has a unique way of getting
everyone to interact and as a result...Wednesday nights are
going great. There is so much to learn and think about each
week as we probe deeper and deeper. The best thing is,
because of the way the classes are conducted, it doesn’t
matter if you have missed a few classes, because you can
pick right up each week wherever we are in the study.
Whether you are a well educated theologian or just a recent
convert, the lessons are informative and thought provoking
on any level and the discussion time is wonderful. I want to
thank everyone who comes out each week for this awesome
study. I am sure your life will be better for the investment
of this midweek encounter. |
