From the Preaching Minister

What an awesome time we are seeing at Mt. Zion. My own
kids came home talking about how good church was this past
Sunday. Music, fellowship, communion with God...it has never
been better in all the years I have known God. And in my
opinion, this past Wednesday was one of the best in our
"Truth Project" series. We are greatly appreciative of Bruce
& Lisa Manley's dedication to be our facilitators each week.
We only have a few lessons left in this wonderful study so
come on out this next Wednesday night at seven pm. P.J.
Throckmorton has already discovered, it is never too late to
jump in.
The Youth Room renovation continues even in the midst of all
this cold weather. If you could help them in any way, please
call Darlene Newsome @ 859-533-7438 or me @ 859-771-8087. I
really want to thank Kevin Cady and Eric Polley for all of
their work on the youth room. It really helps when
knowledgeable people step in and do what they do best. Kevin
is the husband of Tammy Cady who sang a few weeks ago with
her daughter Sarah Polley who sings in our praise team. Eric
is Sarah Polley's husband. They drive to church each week
from Flemingsburg because they have found a place which
meets their needs and offers avenues for their abilities. We
could all take a lesson from their "Drive." Get it????
This coming Sunday, I plan to preach from second Chronicles,
chapter seven, verse 14. It is a well known scripture but
not necessarily well observed or practiced and there is a
key to observing it that we often overlook. Take a look at
this important verse and see if you can recognize the key to
it. You might want to read chapter six first as it would set
the stage a little better.
I have been listening to some sermons via the internet from
www.elshaddaiministries.us
which is a Christian Jew ministry site. I urge you to visit
this site and either download the "Feasts of the Lord"
segments as well as the "Eclipse" segment. It is very
insightful, especially for the days we are living in.
Continue to pray AND INVITE as may people as you can. The
Lord himself instructs us that the harvest is huge but the
laborers are few. Let's try and recruit more workers, for
God's great harvest will surely be soon.
For the Cause of Christ,
Kenny |
