Can it get any better?
I sometimes just think I need to pinch myself and make sure
I am not dreaming about the great things we are witnessing
each week at Mt. Zion. To try and describe it seems useless,
for how do you put into words the great love of God's Holy
Spirit indwelling and manifesting Himself as we stand in
awe? God, You are awesome and worthy to be praised! Blessed
be the name of the Lord!!!
This past Sunday we witnessed the repentance and baptism of
three wonderful people as well as others who came forward
for prayer and forgiveness. Many are still seeking answers
for challenges in their lives and I believe God will be
leading us all through each difficult time if we allow Him
the time He so desperately desires from us all. This is
certainly a time to be looking, watching and observing as
our nation sadly moves further and further away from our
Godly heritage. I still pray for America as it is my hope
she will once again turn back to God but she seems bent to
travel in the wrong direction with the wrong motives and the
wrong guidance. The first act of President Obama was to
reinstitute the funding for foreign abortions, something we
had abolished but now is in revival. Gods word is true
concerning this type of promotion when He says "Those who
hate God love death" yet many dismiss it as a freedom of
choice and yet I still ask that each of us would pray for
God to use President Obama to do mighty things for the
promotion of God's Kingdom.
Bruce Manley has informed us that this Wednesdays service
might be called off due to hazardous road conditions and I
believe Darlene will follow the same path for the Youth.
Please check you emails for this weeks schedule of events
and spread the news. I will even see if Bruce could do the
same for our Sunday Morning cancellations (Which I pray will
not occur) so keep looking in all aspects.
I plan to continue with our series "Test God" when I am back
in the pulpit and I ask that everyone search the entire
Bible for scriptures concerning stewardship, giving,
tithing, offerings and sacrifices so we might be better
equipped and ready to discuss this much needed series.
Please feel free to call me with any of your questions and
or insight on this topic and together we should grow.
God is moving within the walls of MZCC and I believe he is
penetrating the hearts of those who are drawing closer to
Him. May we all continue to be Gods child, who humbles
themselves, prays and seeks His face toward the day of our
home going by His call or His return for us by the trumpet
blast and the announcement "The Bridegroom cometh."
