Another wonderful week at Mt. Zion as we gathered to
worship, saw & felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. I had
19 pages of sermon prepared to deliver (@ Verdana 20 font)
and only gave 5 pages with an illustration which was not
planned. But isn't that just how God works? He goes beyond
our plans and inserts Himself into that which we have
dedicated to Him. WOW!!!!!! God, You are soooooo good!
Last Wednesday, many came out for our 1st "Movie and a Meal"
and enjoyed a great evening. Great food and a great film,
what could be any better? We have a few more planned and I
would like to announce that we have the ability to show a
five week study surrounding the Feasts of the Old Testament
if there is any interest. Please let me know because I
believe it is a much needed study if we are to understand
much of what we read in the New Testament.
I want to applaud you as many are testing God as He asks us
to do. The offerings are up quite considerably at Mt. Zion
and I am sure God is greatly pleased. We also have a few
people within the church who have seen the special
surrounding the mountains of Kentucky and they are looking
for a way to help them...not just at Christmas but NOW. I am
so proud of you and brag to everyone.
If you know of anyone who needs to laugh, tell them to
download our most recent sermon on our web site as it should
prove to give much healing. Check out God's word for His
insight concerning laughter.
Don't forget "Friend Day" March 15, 2009. We are looking
forward to an awesome day with great worship, many friends
AND very possibly "Dinner on the Grounds." Oh let us pray
for a meal to share with our friends. Invite as many friends
as you can and prepare to pick them up if you need to. We
hope to give away a few gifts for those bringing the most
friends...and I mean NICE GIFTS!!!!
Oh, did I catch your attention with that last sentence...I
meant to. Let's make this an awesome time with awesome
people worshiping and AWESOME GOD.
Recently someone said they have not seen the change we keep
talking of at Mt. Zion and the only thing I can say to them
is..."ARE YOU BLIND?"
Baptisms like crazy, offerings out the roof, membership up,
attendance increasing like never before, Engaging Worship,
THE GREATEST MUSIC, decent sermons, LOVE TOWARDS EVERYONE &
THE PRESENCE OF GOD FELT IN TANGIBLE WAYS...who could ask
for anything more? If you have missed this, you came looking
for something we do not offer.
Come Sunday looking for God to move in your life and you
will see Him.
