From the Preaching Minister
| February 24, 2009 |
| |
A few years ago J.D. Miller formed a ministry team
called "Americana Music Group" which has been blessed with
travelling around the world singing many styles of music
which is used to bring the message of Christ everywhere, and
has proved to be very successful. This past weekend AMG
travelled to Centralia, Illinois where a friend by the name
of Terry Edson worships with the Greenview Christian Church.
We were invited to lead a two and one half hour worship
service where an offering would be received to support
missions for one year. This church gives money and prayers
on behalf of more than 100 native preachers and churches.
I want to thank MZCC for their concern toward endeavors of
this type in allowing J.D. & I to be connected in ways
beyond the scope of Winchester, KY. God tells us about
sowing seeds in His name and blessing which follow and I am
glad to serve in a church which recognizes the need for this
not only within but also outside of our own communities. We
work for a greater Kingdom than that which we see and yet
someday soon our eyes will behold the efforts of our blessed
work.
Again I want to apologize for my email account being hacked
into and the bogus request for money. I must say I was
overwhelmed with those who telephoned, text' and emailed me
to respond in some manner. The trouble began when I received
an email which looked like it was from Yahoo requesting
account verification (which was exactly what was sent again
in order for me to retrieve my account) resulting in my
account being compromised. When I received the first call
from Diana Kirk, I immediately went to my house and began
trying to open my email accounts but found them to have the
password changed. The error was first noticed around 3pm and
I was on the computer and telephone with credit card
companies, bank account personnel, Yahoo, Hotmail, Western
Union and others until 4am. As of today, Tuesday, all is
relatively well except for the hotmail account which is
kennyspeakes@hotmail.com and I may never retrieve it.
Anyway, thanks for all of your concern and for the way
soooooooo many of you tried to contact me. I eventually had
to stop answering my calls so I might be able to correct
matters soooooo please don't be too offended that I did not
contact most of you as I was travelling out of town around
1pm Saturday and needed to correct as much as possible.
I wish to thank Max Appel (Good friend of P.J. Throckmorton)
for sharing with MZCC this past Sunday and for all of the
ministry opportunities that Southland Christian Church
offers which might be something worth investigating
according to your own personal need or calling. Some people
don't really care for the BIG churches but here is one
example where they can do so much more in the way of
offering many differing ministry opportunities and many time
the professional help that is needed. Thank you Southland
Christian Church for all you do and attempt to do for the
cause of Christ.
I plan to continue preaching from our series "Test God" by
examining 1st Timothy 6:3-19 this Sunday and I pray each
person will look over these verses and be ready to soak up
more of God's word. I am seeing more and more fruit from
this series just like the other tithing/giving series in the
past. I know it does not make sense that such a series would
be blessed so dramatically but go figure...I guess God loves
for us to take Him at His Word.
I received the following article from our friend Brandon
Wilson, Director of "The Promise Land" which is a recovery
program based in South Carolina that MZCC supports and has
reaped many benefits. Look it over and see if you can find
the answers which are not man's opinions but rather God's
instructions to His people for a more fulfilling life: |

ARE YOU
SPIRITUALLY DEAD?
What would happen to you if you only ate
food monthly/quarterly/yearly etc.? That
would have to be an awfully fine steak and
lobster for me personally. Either way we
would all begin to look pretty pitiful as a
result. I think a look into scripture might
explain why large amounts of the world are
starting to look and feel this way
spiritually. Please take just a few moments
out of your life to investigate God's path,
even commands for our lives. One of the
important obligations he has commanded us to
remember is to feed ourselves. If you have
to get your Bible, you might have eternity
to regret or be glad you took the time to do
so. (John 12:48-50)

| Thank you
for taking the time to look at these verses.
People tell me all the time that I am making
too big of a deal about this. I hope that
one day the worst that happens is that God
accuses me and you of making too big of a
deal about the Blood of His Son. Sincerely,
Your Brother in Christ. Brandon Wilson |

Thank you Brandon for taking the time you do instill the
desires and qualities of Christ into so many lives.
MZCC...I'll see you Sunday,
