What a wonderful Easter we experienced. From the Saturday "More than Eggs" to the Sunday Morning Service it was all a great time. Sharon Blackburn reported we served about 150 for breakfast and I want to personally thank her and her helpers. THANK YOU!!!!! I praise God for those who engage themselves in ministry. Thank you each and every one who helped with this meal.

The Children's ministry team produced a great re-enactment of the last supper, prayer of Gethsemane, arrest, crucifixion, burial and resurrection. Lots of practice went into this and we are all grateful to them for their work.

The Youth were awesome as usual and all of their times of practice paid off in a great way. I personally appreciated their skit and thought their dance to "Shake Free" was the best way to complete our 2009 Resurrection Sunday service.

Tanner Raines came forth to publicly confess Jesus as Savior and was Biblically (immediately/that very hour) baptized into the Name of the Lord Jesus for the remission of his sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Way to go Tanner, we are all proud of you.

Ron Johnson came up to me after I had finished greeting everyone at the close of our service and said he wanted to profess faith in Christ as his savior and would like to be baptized. I was happy for him and showed him the way to the baptistery. A few others were still there and witnessed his conversion by confession and baptism. We are all proud of you Ron and I ask everyone who reads this to be praying for Tanner Raines & Ron Johnson as they begin their new walk with Jesus Christ. May they be covered by a host of Heavens Angels as they strive to serve God.

Please continue to pray for the Steve Falcon family as they each go through this fight against the cancer attacking Steve's body. Also praise God for the rescue of 53 year old Merchant Marine Sea Captain Richard Phillips. Way to go Navy Seals!!!!! I also wish to give thanks where thanks is due: Thank you President Obama for having the confidence and forethought to allow the professionals to do their job.

I write this on Easter Sunday as I am filled with joy for each and every person who attended today and most of all for those who have been added to the Kingdom of God this very day. Look for the soon return of Jesus while remembering "You Find What You Are Looking For."

For the Cause of Christ,

Kenny
