For those who came out this past Memorial weekend Sunday, a great truth was discovered as we dove deep into God's word and found what Jesus wrote in the dust of the Gospel of John, Chapter eight. A little instruction on Jewish Culture and Festivals (Memorials) is always beneficial, especially when we realize God speaks to His people where they live. Everyone who dropped those stones and walked away from the woman caught in the act of adultery knew there was something very special about the Jesus whom they had sought to catch in their trap. It goes to the very depth of every situation to know with whom we are speaking and to now know what Jesus wrote that day should make our own prayer life come to a new level of personal identification and appreciation.

This Sunday I am preparing to speak truths about the flood of Noah's day...some which I believe are very, very enlightening. Reading Genesis six through nine will again shed light and prepare us all for a time of revelation but the greatest revelation can be what we do with what we learn and see how it might help the Kingdom of God increase.

Please put June fourteenth on your calendar and hang it on your refrigerator (right next to that wonderful picture of me) and highlight it. This will be the day the little boy with the fish does it again. We are going to be people of faith and pray and believe there will be enough fish for everyone, after all it is for a very, very good cause. Once again this will benefit "Gods Good News" Ministry which Bob & Mary Kling head up throughout the year to Guatemala. Please come and share a great meal and great conversation.

The King James Version puts it this way in Matthew 19:13-14 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

It is vitally important we make every effort so that every child can "come unto Jesus." You might ask what that actually means and I would say it means to be there to help little children if we can. Teach them about Jesus, feed them, clothe them, protect them and a host of other ways. I thank Bob & Mary Kling for the ministry God has laid on their souls and I am proud that we might be of help to them in whatever way we can.

If you might be wondering, "But aren't there children right here in Winchester that need these same things" I would agree with you 100% and would go on to ask that you begin to help them also. Maybe God would place a calling on each of us to help build God's Kingdom, now wouldn't that be a novel idea...People reaching out to help people other people.

By the way, our Youth plan to leave for their "Mission Trip 2009" the seventh of June right after church and return Friday the twelfth. They will perform a skit or two during the service and we will have a young man whose life was turned around for Christ AFTER his meth lab blew up on him. Scott Hill still wears the scars of that horrific day. Come out and support our youth and Scott Hill as we all worship together. We will gather around their tour bus after the worship service to offer prayers for their safety and thankfulness. Thankfulness to God and everyone who has helped with the fund raising which gives them the ability to do this great work for God. May their lives as well as others be transformed to a greater glory for God because of this hard work and dedication. I especially want to thank Steve and Darlene Newsome who give so much of themselves to make all of this a reality for so many. Time will only tell what a wonderful difference has been made in so many lives.

Hey here is a great thought...invite a friend to church...you know you want to.

For the cause of Christ,

Kenny
