Just heard from the Youth Group and they are on their way back to good ole Winchester, KY. YES!!! They are supposed to arrive in the wee hours of the morning and I ask that everyone continue to pray for their safety. They were able to minister to others as well as to each other and I am extremely proud of them for every where they have gone people have praised their work ethic and manners but I believe that is a clear indication of the type of place where we live, worship, work & play. Moms and Dads are to be commended AND ESPECIALLY Darlene Newsome and her team of supporters. There is a saying 'Water seeks it's own level' and this bunch of Christians from Mt. Zion is group that takes it over the top!!! THANKS!

J.D. Miller & I returned Monday morning around 4 am after having ministered in Illinois & Indiana from Thursday, June fourth through Sunday night June seventh. All in all we spoke and sang at various places a total of nine times. Needless to say, there wasn't much voice left by Monday BUT I FEEL HEALED and ready for Sunday. J.D. was totally awesome as usual as he led us time after time in worship. The last night was a true highlight as 'Tatyana,' an accomplished violinist who once toured with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, brought a team of college students and along with J.D. performed a few musical numbers which wowed everyone. The event was to bring the people of six counties together in a renewing of awareness to an organization 'Kingdom Builders' which build churches in the Indiana/Illinois area AND to serve as an area Revival.
The attendance has suffered terribly in past years but there was definitely a renewed sense of purpose and encouragement when all was said and done. I want to thank Mt. Zion Christian Church for having the where-with-all to send J.D. and myself out from time to time to conduct such meetings. I know it might be a strain (or relief) now and then but J.D. and I are grateful for everyone who desires to see the whole world engaged in worship to God. Thank you for the opportunities you afford the Kingdom of God.

This Sunday, Mary Kling will bring a ten minute presentation from the ministry she and husband Bob conduct each year in Guatemala. The Klings make several trips to Guatemala where they serve as missionaries under the ministry of 'God's Good News'. We are happy to help support them and this Sunday is one of those days. We will be able to enjoy yet another wonderful 'Fish Fry' immediately following Church so do not plan to go to any restaurants but mark your calendars for time with the Klings and the Mt. Zion Church Family as we see the loaves and fishes presented once again for the cause of Christ.

I hope to conclude our series from the book of Genesis with a sermon surrounding the events at the Tower of Babel. This is where God caused people to do what He had earlier told them to do by making them speak different languages. Wow, think about it, in the New Testament, people are speaking different languages, souls come together...are saved and the church is born...here, people start speaking different languages and everyone starts packing up their U-Haul trailers...what gives? Well, come out to Mt. Zion Christian Church this Sunday and be fed, spiritually and physically...yum, yum!

For the Cause of Christ,

Kenny
