I have said "We find what we are looking for" and yet Jesus said it better with these words from Matthew 26:41 "Watch and Pray..."

Prayer is the key to all things and I pray for good speakers to come to MZCC when I am absent. Now with that said, I want you to know I have already heard so many good reports about Mark Jones. I knew he was a gifted speaker and he did not fail to produce. Down through the years of my ministry at Mt Zion Christian Church, Mark has proved to be a great asset and once again he proved to be a faithful minister of the good news of Jesus Christ. Some might recall seeing Mark participating in the dedication service of MZCC in August of 1998, and once again we thank you Mark for your heart is truly in ministry...even outside the walls of the church you pastor.

This week J.D. and I are in Covington, Indiana holding a Sunday through Wednesday Revival and these people are thoroughly thrilled. We are being filled as well and can't wait to come back to Mt Zion this coming Sunday. Before the week is through, we will travel to Freedom, Indiana for a "Men's Roundup" which is at the "Rock Haven Ranch" where Brother Artie Carnes is the Pastor. Artie is the man who spoke about "WRE." WRE is the Weekday Religious Education which his church volunteers help with school children each week in a Church setting which is totally supported by our constitution as long as it is not on school or Government property. Each week they have 800 children learning about Jesus and they feed them a snack as well as sing Christian songs DURING SCHOOL TIME! The key to this whole idea is Church people donating...er, committing their time each week. Without volunteers, the church cannot exist.

Remember, if you are complaining about things it is probably because you are not as involved as you should be. Think about helping out at church with your involvement in Children's Church, Youth, Praise Team, Tech Crew, Hospitality crew, Kitchen helpers, grounds, building maintenance...somewhere...just get involved.

You might be asking, "How can I know the will of God for my life or His desire for a work?" One of the best ways to know God's will is to pray and wait for God to answer. He may answer through the words of someone who knows nothing of your predicament or even His Holy Word.

When I wanted to know for sure whether God was calling me to Mt. Zion I went straight to the Bible and started reading while asking God for some sort of definitive answer. I was reading from the book of Romans and soon found myself in Chapter 10...and then there it was verse 14. When I read it I knew the direct answer to my dilemma. I cancelled all of my appointments to sing at other churches and accepted the call given me by the members of Mt. Zion to become their preacher. Seven years later I gave up the bi-vocational status of GTE & MZCC and became the full time preaching minister at MZCC. Within a few years another door opened for me to evangelize elsewhere from time to time as well as continue to preach at MZCC and I wish to thank everyone who believes and supports this ministry for greater and greater is God's kingdom because of your work. This week we have seen a small church in Covington, Indiana revitalized. I spoke with one man Thursday morning who said he was soooo charged up. He said he was going to be bolder now for Christ than ever before. At Wednesday night's service people came forward weeping, hugging and praying. The pastor asked everyone who needed to leave, to please do so without talking for there were still those who needed to pray.

I say all of this to say "THANK YOU MT. ZION" for you make it possible for the Kingdom of God to expand and be mightily strengthened.

This Sunday J.D. & I will be back at MZCC for what I know will be a fully charged service to or Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for coming out each time you do to a place that is truly committed to SERVING CHRIST.

Look for your place in Gods' work, "Watch and Pray."

For the Cause of Christ,

Kenny
