Got an email from a "Facebook" friend who asked if I were in a video and displayed a link to a page where the video could be viewed. When curiosity got the best of me and I went to the link I saw where my computers antivirus protection warned me not to continue which being a good boy, I obeyed. I am sure glad I did because now there is a warning against that link because it is infected with a virus.

For those who do not understand a word of what I just said please understand that computers are prone to attacks just like our physical system. However the saddest thing about that is, these computer viruses are premeditated, manmade, hate filled viruses set on destroying all the information on someone’s computer. H1N1 is a virus but of a physical nature and already it has claimed many lives and is predicted to claim many more.

But there is another infection which is worse than any I have mentioned, an infection of the mind which could lead to an infection of the Spirit and Soul.

Many times in scripture we are warned to stay away from gossip and backbiting. When we engage in this sort of activity we open a door of opportunity for satan to begin his destructive games in our own lives. Then we pass the disease onto others and while we might be able to fight the eventual demise of such a disease, others might not survive. What’s worse is that which adds insult to injury...the fact that some do not realize they are such proficient carriers and continue time and time again wherever they go destroying lives, reputations and years of investment.

Stay away from the infections this world continues to impose, the hurtful emails of some and the mindless chatter of others. Stay focused, especially in these terrible economic times which are giving root to all kinds of evil. Hate is a disease and we need to be able to recognize it even when it comes cloaked as a friend, a coworker or even a spouse. Every one of us are being put to the test and now are times for proving, proving who we are and whose we are.

By the way it is absolutely great to be back and please know this: I have already made plans with those who are asking for 2010 revivals from me that if they are within driving distance of Mt. Zion Christian Church, then I will not be able to begin their revival until a Sunday night. That should cut down on the Sundays I would miss in the future. I hope it serves to alleviate things a bit and allow us to better concentrate on those things which should promote the growth of those within our own community. See ya Sunday.

For the cause of Christ,

Kenny
