Darlene Newsome has a unique way of teaching youth about the world and the Bible. She combines techniques that have been proven to solidify all ages into a tight unit which shares and cares for each other, and the community. Visiting Nursing Homes, Hospitals and performing Mission Trip duties, are a few of the ways Darlene seeks to demonstrate the idea of "You Get Out Of It What You Put Into It."
  Each year Darlene commandeers the youth to Wilmore, KY for the Annual Icthus Concert Series. If you have ever been to one of these concerts, you understand how one must be a youth to truly enjoy yourself...and Darlene gets right down on their level and loves it.
  Every spring the Youth go to Bad Branch Falls where they hike to the highest point in Eastern KY. Swimming in a lake at the top of the mountain is always a treat...even if the water temperature isn’t what you’d like it to be. This is what makes throwing in a Youth Director or two such fun.
  Darlene is awesome and your children will enjoy learning scriptures while applying them to their daily lives as they are introduced to the world we live in and the way God intended for us to live. Come see what all the commotion is about in our Youth Department...You will be glad you did.
