Hello!!!!!!! Thanks for reading this page!
I was born in Paris, Kentucky, on July 24, 1947. I am a graduate of Paris High School, 1965 and Transylvania University, 1969. Majored in Math and Physical Education and played basketball and golf at both schools. Taught math and coached high school basketball and golf at Mt. Sterling High School. I entered the Banking profession and became executive vice president and a part owner. Lived in Mt. Sterling from 1969 to 1988.
I was called into ministry in 1988. I was a full time volunteer at Southland Christian Church for a year and then was put on staff as Director of Involvement in 1989. I started and led the support groups, singles ministry, men’s ministry, and was on the preaching team. My first sermon was at age of 43. (No Bible College training!)
In January of 2000 I was called to be the Senior Minister of what is now known as NorthEast Christian Church. The Church grew from 170 to over 1400 in less than 7 years.
From January 2007 to July 2008 I worked in Florida in real estate development. From September 2008 to September 2009 managed 9 H&R Block tax offices. Moved back to Lexington in June of 2010.
Sandra and I got married in June 1970. We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren., My son Chad, and his family live in Fort Myers, Florida. My daughter and her family live in Florence, Kentucky.
I love to play golf and attend or watch football, basketball, baseball and golf.
I have a passion of people to stop coming to church but BE the Church.
My passion involves helping people become all that God created them to be. To help people who are trapped and stuck in life to find the most awesome way of living… God’s way!
I am a fallible human being who by the Grace of God, the grace of my family and the grace of the church have been restored to usefulness in God’s kingdom.
You cant go back and make a brand new start but you can start today and make a brand new ending. It is never too late to start over.
God bless and Get Fired Up!
