Prayer for Diana Royse

From: Royse, Diana (forwarded by Paula Joslin) Sent: Thursday, February 23, 2012 8:23 AM I did not get a very good report from my eye doctor visit yesterday. I was in there for about 3 hours. The doctor tells me that he can see damage in my eyes from my diabetes and the start of Glaucoma also. I was pretty bummed to hear this. They are going to watch my eyes closely and if I see any change to get back in there. I do have to a new prescription for glasses because my eyes have gotten really bad. Please pray for the family of Mona Tierney. She lost her battle with cancer yesterday. Funeral arrangements are being made today. We will update with details as soon as we find out. Thanks

Prayer Request for Terry Chesnut

I just got off the phone with Judy she ask me to get this prayer request out for her. They are in the process of taking Terry off of the coma induced medication. Judy is asking for peace and grace for what he has facing him as he comes back into consciousness.

Colton was born yesterday. Mom is doing fine physically but needs the continued prayers. They have been told to enjoy the time she has with him. Please continue to pray for them.

Update on Whitney

I just received this update from Cindy, Whitney's mother. I also told her I would scan the card I received from the "Mt. Zion Card Angel." WOW... what a week.. can't remember when I talked to you last.. Did I tell you Whitney was in the hospital on the 10th, friday? That thur night she was in so much pain and swelling .. so took her in on friday and they admitted her thur---Sunday.. she has 2 blood clots to the shoulder and arm.. Left for St Louis on MOnday at 5am.. we were with DR till 6pm... she had one ovary that looked good.. and he was ready to do surgery the next morning and then, the other DR that assists him ,, said NO,, He was afraid of how much blood thinner she was on she would bleed out.. SO we went on to Rochester on tuesday at noon when no one returned out calls.. SHe was SO upset and it broke my heart for her, ( but for her to tell Patrick was harder .. when she thought Surgery was all ago!!) So got to Rochester a day earlier and so on wed to get blood work and drop ALL these films/ and papers... We thur to meet with DR and then again on friday with the rest of the team. We were very impressed and they too agreed that she needed to focus on this now.. not worry about a baby.. They told me that they see a few more spots.. and so I am praying the Chemo takes care of that.. so we should be starting Chemo Monday. I am a little unsure how it is going to play out , but Mayo also wants to do a 40 week of chemo.. not sure when Surgery is going to be, will be doing scans every few weeks and then will will decide as we go.. it has grown.. also they said that the cancer has eaten away her whole collar bone and they will remove all that and some of her breast bone.. I feet really good this them and they all took the time to introduce themselves and to let her know what each would be doing.. so 4 drs on her team.. I am really concern cause it is pushing against her Aorta too now..:( SO we are going with MAYO CLINIC... We can do most everything here , but the Surgery.. Been a draining 2 weeks, maybe 2 months.. but NOW we are ready to get this party started... I also have made clean now, since they crossed me the wrong way.. that I will NOT be telling her friends anything to trying to keep them up dated.. They are not my problem after a little issue we had in the hospital and I was the one whitney yelled at and said some really hurtful things.. Not goanna give them that chance again., I know it is only cause she can say things to me cause she is hurting so bad.. but still.. I do understand.. But.. just wanted to touch base , cause it takes so much time to get her up and going and all that I don't have much time in the am.. We have to be at DR in am to hopefully start Chemo or get the game plan going with them.. So, I will let you know what we find out if not tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow night... Dan has been at St. Joseph East Hospital since 4:00 am this morning with kidney stones. He is expecting to have surgery on Sunday morning and has asked for prayer.

Update on Chesnut/Blackwell Family

Judy reports that her son Terry Chesnut was a slight bit better today. The doctors decided that they would not try and put in another feeding tube. They thought he was getting a sufficient enough feeding thru the original tube. The funeral for Jacqueline and Rachel Chesnut has been set for Monday Feb 20th at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home on Main Street in Winchester. Visitation will be from 10:30AM to 1:00PM. The funeral will follow at 1:30, after a 30 minute family time. The burial will be at Clairmont Garden on Mt. Sterling Rd. Anyone wishing to provide food may do so by taking it to the Generation Center at 32 Meadow St. They will be providing the place for the meal after the burial. The phone number is 744-3235 .

Update on Kathi Ledford's Parents

Cathy Ledford's mom passed away earlier this week. Her mom's visitation is Saturday at 4, funeral Sunday at 2 at Somerset Undertaking, burial will be Monday at 9 a.m. at Mill Springs National Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------- Kathi Ledford's Parents posted by: Jim Farmer on 1/23/2012 I received the following text from Kathi. She said it was ok to post: "Jim, would you remember my mom in prayer. She is very ill and has been for several years. She was admitted today and has multiple tumors and aeortic aneurysms. Prognosis is grim. My dad is also having a hard time with this. They are in somerset and I will probably be there alot more in the immediate future. Thanks." Please keep Kathi and her parents lifted in prayer.

Update on Chesnut/Blackwell Family

There will not be a need to supply meals to the family at this time as the children are staying with Shelly's family. No arrangements for the funeral of the girls have been announced yet, but we expect we will know details later today Judy and Shelly spent the night at the hospital with Terry. He is still in critical condition and needs our continuing prayers...especially that the swelling will go down in his face so they can put in a feeding tube. They also hope they will able to begin surgeries for skin grafts soon.
